Below are our volunteering vacancies in the district that are required. However, we are always looking for new volunteers, to help run scout meetings, to assist with adventurous activities and many other various roles! Please fill out our joining form, or email our District Commissioner, email@example.com, to express you interest!
MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA TEAM
If you enjoy posting to social media, designing websites, photography, writing news posts, film making, or other uses of digital technology, we would like you to join our media team! Applications are open to ages 13 and over, which means you could use this for either y0ur skills or volunteering sections of your Duke of Edinburgh Award! If you are interested in this role, please get in touch with District Explorer Scout Commissioner, Eddie Aspden (firstname.lastname@example.org).
As you may have heard in the media, scouting in the U.K. has significant waiting lists. In Mid Cheshire alone, there are 100 young people on waiting lists to join Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, purely because we are at capacity, and need more adult leaders to expand this. Volunteering as a leader generally only requires 1 or 2 hours of your time a week. If you would be interested in taking on this enjoyable experience, please get in touch with the District Commissioner (email@example.com), or fill out our enquiry form!
Are you aged between 14 and 18? Maybe you are looking to complete your Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) volunteering section? Or maybe you are looking to enhance your CV with volunteering placements?
Well, Scouting can give you just that. By volunteering in a section, helping section leaders to deliver the scouting programme to young people, you can develop many different skills, including planning and organisation, whilst having fun! You can find out more on our volunteering page, or email the District Explorer Scout Commissioners (firstname.lastname@example.org).
